Will be visiting the Mayan Riviera soon. Any local guide services recommendations for the ancient sites? (Tulum, Chichen Itza, Ek Balam, Cozumel, etc.) I am pretty comfortable going it alone, but would consider a guide if he/she is knowledgeable and comes highly recommended.

If you can contact Maya Elder Hunbatz Men, he can act as a guide to Chichen Itza and all the sites you mention. He provides a unique perspective from the indigneous Maya viewpoint, and integrates information about their sacred calendars and spirituality into the history and archeology of the sites. I've studied with him for many years, and respect his knowledge. Here is his email: [email protected]
Hope this is helpful.
