Dr Nick Kollerstrom has couple of history of science degrees from Cambridge and London (MA Cantab. + PhD from University College, London), and there are some thirty articles of his up on academia.edu, manly about Newton and lunar theory, and various other history of astronomy themes. He left academia in 2008 and he has been a fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society for about 25 years.
