Neil Bockoven is an award-winning PhD geologist, journalist and author who earned his doctorate in geoscience from The University of Texas at Austin. His current interests center on the interaction between Early Modern Humans and Neanderthals during the Paleolithic Age and the amazing related discoveries being made through archaeology and ancient DNA analysis.
Neil is a member of the Archaeological Institute of America, the Archaeological Conservancy, and is an Impact Member of the Center for Study of the First Americans.
He is the author of The People Eaters (2022), Moctu and The Mammoth People and When we met Neanderthals. His Paleo Human Mysteries video series has come out recently on YouTube and his Facebook posts on authorneilbockoven and other archaeology/geology pages are viewed by nearly 4 million followers weekly.
